When the Worlds Of Video Games, Film and Television Collide

How Cross Medium Collaboration Improves Storytelling

We at Bad Robot Games are passionate about storytelling - whether it comes in the form of games, TV, film or in this case, podcasting! The Economist’s “Money Talks” podcast reached out about an episode they were working on which would cover the latest developments in video game production, and how the industry has evolved in recent years. Our president and COO, Tanya Watson, joined hosts Tom Lee-Devlin, Alice Fulwood and Mike Bird to discuss the interesting shifts we are seeing in the current media landscape with the rapid growth of the video games industry, and share her insights as an accomplished industry veteran.

Tanya touched on how game makers can learn from cinematographers and vice versa and how we, at Bad Robot Games, work collaboratively with our colleagues at Bad Robot, leveraging all of our creative departments in order to share knowledge and tell the most interesting stories, stemming from a place of mutual respect for the mediums of gaming, film and television.
